Service Electrical Technician – Offshore Wind (SOV)

We are recruiting qualified Electrical Technicians with previous wind industry experience for a long-term SOV-based offshore service project starting in January 2027. The role involves electrical inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair activities on offshore wind turbine foundations and transition pieces. Previous offshore experience is preferred, but candidates with relevant onshore wind industry experience will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical inspections, maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Inspect, repair and replace earthing cables and associated electrical components.

• Inspect fibre-optic cables and carry out basic patching activities.

• Perform low-voltage troubleshooting and corrective maintenance.

• Support general inspections and maintenance of offshore wind infrastructure.

• Complete maintenance documentation and report identified defects.

• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety and HSE procedures.

Requirements

• Proven electrical experience in the wind energy industry.

• Formal electrical qualification supported by a vocational certificate or diploma.

• Experience in electrical maintenance, inspection and troubleshooting.

• Good command of English.

Additional Qualifications

EFK qualification or eligibility for formal nomination is an advantage. Additional project-specific electrical safety training may be required before mobilisation.

We are looking for experienced Electrical Technicians with a background in the wind energy industry. Previous offshore experience is preferred, but candidates with relevant onshore wind experience are also encouraged to apply.

Professional requirements:

⚡ Proven electrical experience in the wind energy industry.

🎓 Formal electrical qualification supported by a vocational certificate or diploma.

🔧 Experience in electrical maintenance, inspection and troubleshooting.

🗣️ Good command of English.

Required certifications:

✅ GWO Basic Safety Training (4 modules)

✅ GWO Sea Survival

✅ GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART)

✅ Valid OGUK/NOGEPA

✅ Chester Step Test

Additional qualifications:

• Electrical Skilled Person (EFK) qualification or eligibility for formal nomination.

• Additional project-specific electrical and safety training may be required before mobilisation.
